Get to know Andorra
The country has established a parliamentary democracy and the head of government is appointed by the General Council (Parliament). As a parliamentary co-principality, Andorra has two heads of state, the President of the French Republic and the Bishop of Urgell, who hold the office jointly and indivisibly.
Andorra has been a member of the UN and European Council since 1993. While it is not a member of the European Union (EU), as a result of the Monetary Agreement with the EU, Andorra has the euro as its legal tender.
