Cover

Medical, surgical or hospitalisation expenses abroad with a maximum per insured person of between €7,000 and €10,000 depending on the type of card.

Urgent dental expenses abroad, up to €300.

Transport or medical repatriation of the injured or sick and their accompanying insured family members.

Repatriation of the deceased and their accompanying insured family members.

Advance payment of the criminal bail amount abroad, with a maximum of between €4,800 and €6,000.

Essential expenses for luggage delayed for more than 24 hours, with a maximum of between €100 and €250.

Theft when withdrawing cash from an ATM abroad, up to 2 hours later and a maximum of twice a year. Maximum amounts between €600 and €1,000.

Advance of monetary funds abroad for Visa Classic, Visa Unicef, Mastercard Classic, Visa Premier and Visa Platinum cards.

What to do in the event of a claim?

Before incurring any expenses, you must receive authorisation from the insurer, precisely following the instructions given to you over the phone. Payment of compensation is made after authorisation and on presentation of the corresponding supporting documents for payments made. In the case of medical, pharmaceutical or hospital expenses, the corresponding medical certificate and approved medical bills must be presented.

In the event of a claim (as soon as possible) and in the event of a robbery at a cash machine with theft of the money withdrawn (within a maximum period of 2 hours), call the helpline (+34) 934 858 516 before making any arrangements or incurring any expenses. And in the event of a robbery at a cash machine with theft of the money withdrawn and also of the credit card, call the helpline number (+34) 934 585 516. Afterwards, call (+376) 888 888 to report the theft and cancel the card.

Exclusions

Cover does not extend to injuries or death resulting from:

Sport or high risk activities.
Competitions, training, trials and/or bets.
The consumption of drugs or medications without a prescription.
Chronic illnesses prior to the start of the trip.
Attempted suicide.

Terms and conditions of this insurance

Applicable cards

This insurance is included for all cards, except the Cybercard and ACA Mastercard.

Insured persons

The insured person will be the natural or legal person who is the holder of the charge account for the use of any of the cards issued by Creand, except for those mentioned above.

Insurance term

The insurance will be valid from the moment the card issued by the bank is contracted and will be linked to the validity of the card, renewable annually.
